Wailea Sunset Estate, one of our most popular vacation homes, was just lovingly refreshed with some upgraded amenities and decor. We installed brand new flat panel televisions in all rooms, including a 3D HDTV in the great room, and HD channel subscriptions throughout. Some televisions also have Netflix unlimited movie viewing.

The Wailea Sunset Estate is a legal hotel-zoned ocean front vacation home which may be rented in combination with the adjoining Wailea Sunset Bungalow for a total of as many as 6 bedrooms and 6.5 baths for up to 14 guests!

The Wailea Sunset Estate is a beautiful 4,000 square foot newer luxury estate four bedroom home with five and a half bathrooms. The Wailea Sunset Estate is situated near two sandy swimming beaches and the properties border Wailea Resort.
Unlike at many nearby hotels there are no extra "Resort Fees" charged!
Guests have exclusive use of their own hot tub and pool situated under the stars.
The Wailea Sunset Estate has a priceless and stunning panoramic ocean front setting. A sprawling manicured grass lawn slopes down to the water's edge where a pebbly cove invites you to snorkel, swim, boogie board, kayak, and scuba dive - right from your home! Waves lap gently along the shoreline and may be heard day and night. Kick back and view the crystal clear ocean and the glittering starry night skies from the dramatic elevated upstairs decks.
For guests who wish to stay connected during their holiday there is wireless high speed internet service at no extra charge. Several rooms have convenient hard-wired cable modem ethernet jacks. Since December 2011 there are all-new larger flat panel televisions with HD service throughout the property. The living room has a 3D television! There also is an iPod dock and two XBox game systems provided in the main living area and another in the twin bedroom. We never knew auto racing could be so fun - it's not just for youngsters!
Luxurious accents include a gated entry, hand etched frosted glass floor to ceiling sliding glass doors to welcome you, a covered hot tub spa, motorized exotic bamboo sun shades throughout, a double set of privacy blinds in all bedrooms, central split zone air conditioning, security system, private en-suite bathrooms, a complete entertainment center in each bedroom and living room including a 3D 65" high definition televisions, an iPod dock, and tropical theme interior decor.
The detailing of Wailea Sunset Estate is superlative. Our photos cannot adequately share the overall experience with you, but while viewing the slide show, make note of the delicate hand carved Balinese trims, down filled furniture, inlaid mosaic tile floors, warm polished dark mahogany and rosewood floors and cabinets, woven ceilings outlined with mahogany trim, bamboo hand railings, sea foam green marble counters, soothing natural color scheme with Hawaiian print wallpapers and bed covers, silky hand woven Tibetan area rugs, and charming tropical detailing such as turtle shape door knobs, and painted fish on ceramic tiles.

|Bedrooms||4 bedrooms. The master suite has a sofa with small pull-out so a young child may sleep in the same room with the parents. You may also wish to consider also renting the adjacent Wailea Sunset Bungalow for up to 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.||Bathrooms||5 full baths and 1 half bath|

These rates are valid as of the current date. Rates are subject to change until reserved with a signed Rental Application & Agreement and payment of the initial amount due. Taxes are subject to change by State of Hawaii at any time and without advance notice to guest.
Infants and toddlers under two (2) years of age at the time of occupancy, may be excluded from the total guest count. Toddlers and children age two (2) and above at the time of occupancy will be included in the total guest count. The total guest count may not exceed the stated number of persons. We reserve the right to request (and receive prior to accepting a reservation), actual written proof of birth date (month/day/year) for any toddlers or infants a family wishes to have excluded from the total guest count.
Occupancy is granted for the maximum number of guests noted above. Excess occupancy is not allowed and may also be regulated by resort and/or local County of Maui ordinance.

Out-cleaning is pre-collected with the final payment. The owner reserves the right to charge for out-cleaning in excess of this amount, should the house be left excessively messy or soiled.

|Housekeeping Services Provided||
For details about the inclusive no-charge (complimentary) housekeeping services provided with your reservation, please refer to the rental cost quote provided to you at the time of first placing your reservation. You will receive information about the housekeeping schedule (dates and times) upon check in. During the Christmas and New Years holiday period, DAILY housekeeping is provided, with the exception that there is no housekeeping service on Christmas Day December 25 nor on New Years Day January 1.
Inclusive housekeeping service may vary based on rate paid or on a seasonal basis. Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets and extra bed linens, along with soap and cleaning products. There is plenty of inventory to suffice for several days. There is a laundry room inside your own residence that provides a washer/dryer, laundry soap and supplies, iron/board.
Personal laundry, clean up in the kitchen after cooking or meals, and grill cleaning are not performed during housekeeping services, unless arranged in advance and paid for separately.

World famous Wailea Beach, which hosts the Four Seasons and Grand Wailea Resorts, is a 15 minute stroll along the ocean front Wailea walking promenade. Along the south Maui coastline are more than a dozen other beautiful golden sand swimming beaches, all of which are available to the public with convenient parking and facilities. Explore a new beach every day!|

Central air conditioning throughout with ceiling fans in every room.
Air Conditioning should never be set to cool below 70-72 or the equipment may freeze or experience any other damage. Most homes and villas in Hawaii are equipped with residential grade equipment which does not provide bottomless cooling. Cooling is available to a reasonable temperature, usually in the 70-72 range on the very low end. Most guests find that a setting of 72-74 is very comfortable once a unit has been allowed to cool down and with doors and windows closed. At select properties, the air conditioning may only function to a temperature in the 72-74 range with lower temperature settings mechanically excluded.

On-site maintenance for interior plant care is performed weekly.
Please expect ambient audible living noises. From time to time a neighbor may host a party or the voices of children playing or some music may be audible from a nearby residence.
This home is located in a quiet residential area. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am.
There is no cover or fence for the pool or hot tub spa. Guests are encouraged to actively monitor all pool and hot tub spa use and to bring any and all water safety devices they may need including water alert wristbands. Guest use of the outdoor areas including the pool and spa is at the guest's discretion and own risk.
The shoreline in front of the property is pebbly. It may be most comfortable to use foot protection when entering the water. Ocean access may not always be safe due to varied ocean conditions.
Over towards the Polo Beach area an off-shore undertow has been reported a few times in the past. Always swim with a buddy and never turn your back to the ocean. Guests agree to use caution and common sense and to always enter the ocean when the conditions are calm, and to enjoy all sports and activities at their own risk.
The grass lawns surrounding the property and all neighboring properties are trimmed with a motorized mower one day each week.
A small cottage known as the Wailea Sunset Bungalow is immediately adjacent to the Wailea Sunset Estate. The two dwellings are in close proximity to one another and we cannot say they are exclusively private from each other. A modest amount of landscaping provides some separation. Guests of the Wailea Bungalow are not invited to use the grounds, pool, or amenities of the Estate home.
The master bedroom and two other main villa upstairs bedrooms are separated by an open-air patio called the moonlight terrace. The distance from the master bedroom to the others is approx. 30 feet. Baby monitors may be effective in overcoming the separation between bedrooms. The 4th bedroom is in a separate building near the carport on the (mountain) side of the property. It is also approx. 30 feet from the main villa. Access is via a covered open-air walkway.
